Base Next: Cash register connection and communication
The Base Next is designed as a stationary terminal for use at a fixed point of sale. Thanks to its small dimensions, the card reader takes up very little space at the checkout. The Base Next is simply and easily connected to the checkout via the one-cable solution - all you need is a power socket. The Base Next communicates either via WLAN or LAN.
Base Next Terminal: Design & User-friendliness
The Base Next is equipped with a 4-inch color display with a touchscreen. The contactless reader is located at the top of the Base Next terminal. This means that the customer still has a clear view of the display, which shows the amount and status of the transaction during contactless payment. The bright display shows all information precisely, even in different lighting conditions.
The Base Next terminal comes with 17 languages, currencies, and time zones and also has an integrated printer and an e-receipt solution: this allows you to send the payment receipt to the customer by email. Other additional options include DCC dynamic currency conversion and tax-free shopping via TaxFree.
Which card payments are possible with the Base Next?
The Base Next EC card reader enables payment with all major EC and credit cards. This means that your customers can make payments free of charge with their girocard, Mastercard, Visacard, or American Express credit card. The terminal has a chip card reader and a magnetic stripe reader and is also NFC-capable. This allows you to enable your customers to make payments by inserting or placing the card on their smartphone or smartwatch. This increases your payment options to include options such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay and offers your customers the widest possible choice.
Maximum security with the Base Next
The stationary card reader features the latest PCI 4 security architecture and the Base Next has a PIN pad with privacy protection so that your customers can enter their PIN in peace without having to worry about their number being spied on.
